Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actress singer and former model. Her most well-known work is her part in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain as well as being the lead vocalist of Apollonia 6, a girl group. The singer and actress who was christened Apollonia by Prince became one of a number of female performers in the 1980s to benefit from her association with the Purple One. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress, born in Santa Monica in 1959. Her first career was acting as a model for television. The singer appeared in several small movies during this period and was reportedly not allowed to be involved in her role in the Purple Rain sequel Under the Cherry Moon. In 1985-1986 she landed a part on the evening drama Falcon Crest. Apollonia made her debut album in 1988. However, it was a fairly pedestrian mix of dance and R&B music that failed to draw attention from the people. The album quickly disappeared out of sight. In the years that followed the singer-songwriter remained an active actress, playing minor roles in films and small TV shows. Apollonia released a CD in Spanish and English named Stay With Me in 1997. She returned to the school, received a diploma in filmmaking. Then she founded her business and was employed on children's television. Apollonia Kotero has many roles. Formerly, she was a model, singer-actress and talent supervisor.
