Shailene is an American actor and activist. Her popularity was boosted by her performance as Alexandra "Alex" King, the teen who is who is suffering from addiction to drugs in The Descendants. Following her awe-inspiring performances in The Descendants, she came up with several other performances that displayed her ability to play difficult roles with ease. Shailene managed to make her mark in the world of Hollywood very early during her career, which in and of itself is an impressive feat. After beginning her career with television shows and commercials her next step was to take on major roles in Hollywood film. She won a number of awards thanks to her excellent acting abilities, among them the MTV Movie Awards. Other prestigious awards such as The BAFTA Awards and Golden Globe Awards were also presented to her. Shailene is not just a talented actor but an environmentalist, activist, and activist. Her mother and Shailene Woodley established the non-profit All it Takes in 2010. She received the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award for co-founding All it Takes at the Global Green Environmental Awards' 20th Anniversary in 2016.
